I don't understand!

Hi I am 14 and as many people my age and older or younger have acne. Has anyone ever established the cause of it? Or anything like that. I went to my doctor because I was fed up of the teasing he prescribed me these tablet/capsules called Erymax they worked aswell. So in the light that they worked I got a repeat perscription, they were fine for the first couple of weeks and then my acne deteriated slowly however then I went on holiday to Mexico and the sun really seemed to help with my spots. I carried on with the treatment whilst there but when I got back they went bad again and now I am covered and yes its school photos in a week and I am dreading it. Any tips that dont take long to kick in?????? And why has my skin deteriated now that there is no sun??? Please help!! It is much appreciated
