sweet jade, i dont know if u read in a newspaper article that females were taking testosterone to firm up their bodies.the side effect included severe acne, body hair.i have heard from my research with ts that f to m transsexuals have very bad acne, increased sex drive, lowering of the vocal cords, body hair.once the vocal cords have been lenghthened by the use of testosterone it cant be reversed.in my case going the other way...50 mgs didnt clear my skin but at 100 mgs for almost 3 years now my skin is perfect.i use adodart to get rid of the free testosterone in my body.on the plus side i might never go bald.and yes at 100 mgs or more a day of spiro does really slow down the body hair growth.diane-35 contains the anti-androgen cyprotone acetate.i know a lot of thai ''lady boys'' take diane-35 to keep them boyish or girlish looking.it kinda holds back male puberty.i know when i used to look like a guy...a very good looking guy i was...i had a very masculine face...the girls i worked with thought i was really getting hot looking for the first 2 years i was on spiro.now i look like a 20 year old boy...er girl.this is due to major cranial-facial plastic surgery not the spiro.now all the girls said they liked me before my surgery.i lot of girls think i look cute now....but definitly not manly.

    Very smart soupyhead!

I know quite a few people who can't sweat profusely, so if you are one of those people, its best if you just went to the steamroom and sit in there for 30 minutes, then come out and do some weights or running.

You do sweat more if you drink a lot of water during your exercise or before.

Quick tip: Drink a big cup of near boiling (thats cooled down) water, so your body gets REAL warm, and then exercise, you will sweat faster because you heat up your internals faster.

I do this during the winter, because its hard to heat your body up during the winter,

I also wear heavy hooded sweatshirts and a cap to make myself even warmer.

This is how you make yourself sweat

    UPKEEP/MAINTENCE

This is one of the most important procedures in this regime.

If you have the money, which I believe all 21+ year olds do, $100 or so.

Pick up a GLUCOSE METER (I use freestyle because it requires little blood)
Its around $30, the test strips are like $50

    What you do is:

    1) Test yourself in the morning before you eat anything, note down your blood sugar,

    2) Test yourself after you eat certain items.

Your blood sugar should be around:

80-95 during before meals in the morning.
95-100 after a LOW carb meal with no white bread/pasta
100-120 after a Carbed meal with a 3 ounces of carbs
120-150 after eating pizza or pasta.

The key here is, to mantain yourself in the

80-100 level, if you do this, you will notice your skin to be nice and dry and normal.

If you go above 100-120 , you'll start feeling some oil.

Basically the idea is, blood sugar = converted to fat

you need to mantain the blood sugar.

When you exercise, your blood sugar goes down.

This is the main idea behind the regime and it will solve ALL your questions.

The numbers may vary from people to people but you should find out your ranges.

I hope this helps, this is the BEST idea for me to know exactly what my body is feeling like and I share this with you guys and hope you find much use with it

    Any questions ,ask away.

The freestyle version, can be used to pr ick the upper arms like your shoulders,

I don't like pricking my fingers because it hurts,
but freestyle you can pr ick anywhere on your body, your leg arms, and it doesn't hurt at ALL ,
    because those areas are tough

They have this neat spring pr ick thing, its so fast and 100% painfree, you can't even feel it.

im currently using retin-A and when i go out to the sun, it irritates my skin and causes it to turn red. i have been avoiding sunlight and have not sweat in a while and in this time, my acne has gotten worse. i usually sweat a lot, but i dont sweat profusely, like you said. what do you recommend?

also, would a bathroom with the hot water running count as a sauna room?

    Hi,

Any room or place above your body temperature , 103 degrees is saunalike

Lets say standing outside in phoenix in arizona = oven

I've heard of stories where a guy was working as a griller or a fryer, and he use to sweat the whole day standing there next to the hot fryer, and he said he's acne got a lot better.

This diet is hard.. i've been doing it but cheating a bit and eating stuff like cornbread and taco bell a few times.. it def shows up on my face about a day later in the form of 1 or 2 pimples.. and the oil comes back for those days too... I'm finally glad i KNOW what is causing my acne now.. its a great thing to know how to control it, but its still difficult... what do you guys think about diet drinks? i drink a coke zero now and then.. i will test it myself.. try to eat very little carbs for a week and then drink a bunch of it to see if i break out.. I'm keeping a spreadsheet for myself so i can figure out what works and what doesnt. good luck all

Pop should always be reduced, until you never drink it at all. It may not harm your skin, but it certainly won't help. It's so acidic that it messes up the ph of your body. I have heard that might be a contributing factor to acne, but I don't know. Also, your teeth will thank you.

thompsbj, I agree wholeheartedly with you there! Fizzy drinks as we Brits call them, or soda as they're called in the States, are an unnecessary evil. They are a pure hit of sugar and a mish mash of hideous chemicals. Like any other sugar hit you feel good for five minutes after drinking and then slump for an hour. They fur up your teeth and distort your sense of taste. And since sugar is addictive, regular consumption of them causes a virtual dependence on other sugary foods... I could rant on for much longer and I haven't even discussed their effects on skin. If you drink fizzy drinks and you're prepared to make just one lifestyle change for the good of your skin, then stop drinking them!

Re: Over 21+ years old with acne, Desperate? I will lend a hand.

IWillHelpYou,I am very thankful for all your input on this subject. I am 21 years old and still constantly annoyed with the almost daily breakouts.

Exercise and sweating is supposedly good for you and sweating is the essential part of helpin your skin. However, in my case, every time i'm outside in the heat or dancing/excercising the next couple of days after that i will suffer from breakouts in my T Zone. I've heard that bacteria feed off of sweat and provides a breedin ground for acne. What am i doing wrong? I usually wash my face after sweating with Benzoyl Peroxide or a Tea Tree Oil/SA/Sulfur scrub. Maybe the sweating brings everything to the surface and causes the breakouts. Does this mean i should exercise and sweat consistently? How do you cleanse your face after your workout/sweating?

    thank you

    Hello khan,

    1) Whats your diet like? It effects your acne immensely, it has to be low carb when you don't exercise, a little bit more carb when you do.

    2) Normal sweating does cause acne, because it just stays there.

You only need to exercise once a day, and you need to be sweating like crazy, it has to be dripping to be effective,
normal sweating will clog up pores, just think of your skin as a toilet.

You need a big blast of water to flush the shi t out, small drizzles won't flush anything out

    Hapunch,
I know you are attractive I feel most acne suffers look very good once their acne dissapears , oddly how it always happens to us

First you test out your diet
    1) Low carb
As mentioned in the first few posts,
    see if your oil decreases

    2) then find a sauna or steam room, implement it into your regime

If you want a step by step walk through, just post what you are doing each day and I will comment on what you should do and whats the best to treat your acne issue.

First you solve the oil issue,
Then you clear up your pores/acne.

    Thats how to do it.
