    tiny bumps and unhealthy complexion...

I can never achieve heathy clear skin!!!!!! I'm currenty on Natures Cure pills (a little over 2 weeks) and I use the bp cream as well as klaron. I'm going to try Capsiderm again I guess. But my skin still has a bumpy complexion (just on my forehead). And my overall complexion looks dull and unhealthy. I eat tons of veggies and fruits but lately I have been eating donuts and muffins form Dunkin Donuts ...could this be the cause of my unhealthy complexion? I've only been eating them for like 2 days.

What can I do to achieve a healthy complexion? And I just cant get rid of my forehead acne...why is this?

I just want clear skin and i'm really losing hope here

    Hey xismybaby,
    sorry you're having trouble...
I am still dealing with a lot of acne, but it is slowly getting better. I used to have the same problem with the forehead bumps. Even when my skin was clear of acne, my forehead would still be covered with these tiny bumps. Exfoliating didn't help. I always had really good results with the Nature's Cure pills and bp, but I found it would stop working after awhile, and it didn't seem to help th bumps.
Everyone always responds with defining these little bumps as millia or closed comodones, and supposedly exfoliating helps...but not for me.
So, that said, my skin is clearing up slowly, and the middle of my forehead is totally clear, and no little bumps! I am still using capsiderm (but I don't think it helps with those little bumps) but two weeks ago I started using Plantidote from Origins. Did you read the thread Mediagirl started about it? Well, it is expensive, but my skin is looking healthy for once. I may still be dealing with acne, but at least my skin isn't looking unhealthy on top of it.
If it isn't one thing, it's another it seems....

Thanks amo! Let me just clarify my situation a little bit. I dont have those tiny tiny millia bumps all over my forehead, I just have little pimples that wont budge. They only really pop up on my forehead.

How long did it take for you to see results with the natures cure pills? I started capsiderm again and it makes my skin look pretty good afterwards but when i wake up in the morning i'm pretty much the same. I also have very oily skin which I think is my problem.

As for the origins products..i did skim through that thread, i'll have to take another look at it. What exactly is that stuff doing for you?

    Thanks

    Hey again,
so...to be honest, I am not sure if I can remember how long it took for the Nature's cure to help, all I remember is that it worked pretty well for me, and I don't remember thinking, "when is this going to start working..." so it must have been quickly.

The Plantidote is essentially doing for me what moisturizers don't. My skin has been really soft and smooth (where it isn't broken out, which it still definately is!) and my make up goes on really smoothly afterwards. My skin isn't crazy oily, but most lotions and creams are too heavy for my skin. The Plantidote gives me the perfect amount of moisture. And it certainly isn't aggrevating my acne, tho I can't say that I think it is improving it.

I feel like the Capsiderm helps calm down big breakouts. But it obviously isn't getting me clear. What else are you using on your skin right now? What is Klaron again?
Is your face clear otherwise (except the forehead?)

You know what else I like from Origins? I have this 10 minute mask called Out of Trouble or something, it's for acne and oily skin. It has sulfur in it, amongst other things. I've noticed my skin has not been as oily as it used to be since using this and the Plantidote.

Hi ladies! The Plantidote (there's an insert in the box about the anti-inflammatory results from using it) may just be helping your breakouts be "less angry", and definitely not as pronounced I bet. As my daughter experienced with her chronic chin breakouts & bumpiness.... the skin became smoother because the non-red swelling went down, and over a couple of weeks, the breakouts just ceased completely. It seems like a long term solution, but from my own experience, super-quick results usually had a boomerang effect. Clearing up quickly usually resulted in a great big return of bad skin when a "miracle" remedy was used for a while (like with the Proactive program). The Plantidote worked slowly and methodically and in my own case (I never metioned this in the other thread) my nose always seemed pinker than the rest of my face, and now it's "calm" and the same color as the rest of my face (older skin than yours I bet). I realized this one day when I went to put on my liquid foundation and went to apply a little extra to my nose..... and stopped in my tracks because it wasn't needed. I actually stopped and said "Oh wow....". As far as the bumpy forehead is concerned, Amo is right about the Out of Trouble mask making the skin smoother and less oily. I've had slightly bumpy skin and the Modern Friction used with a little water to dilute it used a few times a week, followed by Plantidote and Perfect World skin guardian and then SLEEP, seems to have reduced the bumpy forehead to just a few precious bumps near my hairline--- which I'm sure is due to my hair products seeping down there.

The best part about all of the Origins products? All natural! I know, there are preservatives, but not many. The price of the Plantidote is sixty-five dollars, but it's supposed to last 6 months or more, so do the math. Ten dollars a month for the best skin I've ever had? I'l take that expense!

Klaron is a sulfacetamide (sp?) its gentler than all the other perscription topicals. At first i thought it was helping but now its just not making my skin any better or worse..its just not doing anything.

I'm using Baking Soda to exfoliate, and I just started the capsiderm again and I was experimenting with this face wash that my dermotologist office makes...I'm taking the NC pills and using the bp (i'm spot treating now)...I have just went back to Paulas Choice BHA lotion to see if that works...

I just dont know what to use anymore ...

I'm clear except for my forehead and the occasional pimple on my chin and i have red marks from previous acne (but thats no big deal to me). I just want to get clear my freakin' forehead!!!

I'll just wait to see if the NC pills kick in (i really hope they do!!!)
