    Question concerning aspirin mask?

I went to Walgreens but I couldn't find any uncoated aspirin. The kind I bought doesn't say "coated", except in one place on the back (active ingredient in each coated tablet).

Does this matter? Do I HAVE to use uncoated aspirin, or can I just crush the kind I have and use that?

i use the white aspirin in the big clear bottle. i think they say "lightly coated" or something. as long as it doesnt have that thick "easy to swallow" coating, you should be ok.

i dont even crush the kind that i use. i just pour a bunch into my hand, then add tiny bits of water until they kind of puff up (you can see the coating break and dissolve), then mush them around with my finger until it forms a paste. rub hands together, smear all over face, and voila! aspirin mask!

    Hi That's okay.
I have my aspirin bottle from Walgreen's right in front of me, and it says on the front : Aspirin 5 grains pain reliver, fever reducer, on the back under Drug Facts it says: Active ingredience in each coated tablet...
So, you have the right one!! Any other questions, just ask

    Re: Question concerning aspirin mask?

I'm thinking about starting the aspirin mask. Did you have any initial breakout at all from this? Is it supposed to help with the red marks? When is the best time to use it - morning or night? Sorry for all the questions. I'm new to the mask thing - I've never really used one before. I'm hoping this will be a gentle way to start using a mask. Thanks to anyone who responds!!

    Re: Question concerning aspirin mask?

I just tried using it myself. My skin isn't too bad, except for maybe 2-3 pimples and an ugly red mark from a zit v.v I also have several small red marks from former acne. I've used the aspirin mask maybe three times, and I've noticed that my pallor (think thats the spelling) and skin tone have improved. I haven't put it on the big red mark, cause I'm afraid it'll make it worse. Does the asprin mask help with red marks as well?? So far I'm enjoying the results!

    Re: Question concerning aspirin mask?

Hey, I have been using the Aspirin Mask, about 5 times so far.
I usually use it in the night before bed.
I find it to really work well, any red marks disappear very quickly. I had a couple of pimples coming up, and used the mask to nights and the pimples completely went away.
So, I have been very happy with the results.
a very cheap way to get great results!!

I am sure I found out about this.

    Re: Question concerning aspirin mask?

I would say to only use it one time a day.
I use it every other day.
I suppose you could determine how often you should use it after you try it once. I find it leaves your skin feeling smooth, but it is also very drying, so I do moisturize after I use the mask. Because of the drying, that's why I only use it every other day, sometimes I just use it on spots rather than all over my face.
    Hope this helps you some!

i use it as a scrub (thick aspirin paste mixed with cleanser) at least once a day, usually at night. i use it as a mask maybe once or twice a week now.

    Re: Question concerning aspirin mask?

I just started using the aspirin mask last friday and I love it. i've been using daily at night before I go to bed. It makes your face really smooth and my dark spots are fading. In 1 day my spots were lighter. I was using clearzit which got rid of my moderate acne but problem was the marks from the acne so this works good. I definitely recommend it. I bought uncoated CVS brand. Oh and before I use the aspirin mask I wash my face with clean and clear 10% benzoyl peroxide wash which I got from CVS too. This has my face smooth and clear now.

I use a brand name aspirin... it's just the kind we have at home... it's also coated, but regardless, it works wonderfully. It really helps your skin glow, and smooths out your face.
