Wink my progress with cystic acne following my visit to a naturopath

Well...if any of you have read my previous posts, you would know that I ditched conventional medicine -mino and retin-a for a more natural approach- herbal medication.

Its has been 3 weeks since my first visit to my naturopath. He prescribed herbal tonics and a dermatological cream which I can liberally apply to my face however often I want without any drying effect what-so-ever!

I cannot believe the transformation that has occured throughout the last 3 weeks. I look and feel my best. I had a large cyst on my left cheek which has been there since January 2003. Whilst on mino and retin-a the cyst just grew larger and larger. It eventually became an abscess. I was told that I had to be realistic and come to terms with the fact that there would be scaring. My skin specialist spoke about steroid injections but was concerned about the pitted scaring that would result- I was told to consider visiting a cosmetic surgeon to have it cut out as the scaring would at least be more cosmetically acceptable and the surface of the skin would not look uneven. She wasn't even sure if accutane would fix that particular cyst......you can imagine how much I cried.

I also had about 4 smaller cysts on my right cheek and was told there were other smaller ones underneath my skin. If you ran your fingers over my right cheek you could feel the lumps and bumps.

I am happy to report that the large cyst on my left cheek is about half the size of what it was..each day i keep seeing it get smaller and smaller. The cysts on my right cheek are practically gone except for 2 very small lumps under my skin, but the difference is truly amazing. When I run my fingers over my right cheek it feels smoother then it has in such a long time. Everyone cannot believe the difference. I have some pitted scaring on my right cheek but my naturopath keeps telling me that that will heal also and to continue applying the cream to my face as often as i can....if it cures my pitted scaring then I will hail this the miracle cure.......i am keeping positive and keeping my fingers crossed...!!

I'll post my final results here...

    I am so EXCITED!!!!!!

    Great!

I just visited a naturopath today (Wed May 28) here in Los Angeles.

I have been given 5 different herbal stuff such as a liver cleaner, acidophilus, etc.

I hope to get good results. I see the doc again in 3 weeks.

    -----------------------

I have done the same as you: Retin-a and Mino. Although I stopped the retin-a, I still take MINO once at night because if I totally stop, I will break out even more.

On top of this, I will be going thru LASER TREATMENT for my acne. I hope this final process pulls me out of my misery.

This is great, Desperate! Excuse my other post asking what your secret was. I didn't see this.

Can you give us the names of what you're using--especially the dermatological cream?

desperate, that's fabulous! Especially since you were able to do it without a lot of extreme prescriptions. What sort of tonics are you taking? And do tell us more about the cream.

I am using Pinnacle Health Products. My routine involves

    1. Washing me face with Clear Skincare's Cleaning Gel

    2. Application of Pinnacle's dermatological cream- which is a specially formulated homogenous mass of activated herbs used in the treatment of stubborn skin disorders

    3. Drinking 20mls of Pinnacle's herbal tonic (mixed with water) which is specially formulated as a natural, herbal immuno-stimulant and antioxidant. It flushes the body of toxins, parasites and free radicals.

I do this 3 times a day. I have however, just started to apply the dermatolgical cream every hour or so to my skin and this I think has contributed to the quick healing. I don't wear make-up but this is purely a personal choice. You can wear make-up on top of the dermatological cream. I have not altered my eating habits in any way.

Pinnacle health products do have a website if anyone is interested in doing a search...the company I believe is Australian.

Aaron...I wish you all the best of luck and hope that you have as much success as I have experienced with my treatment. Be prepared to rid your body of all those nasty toxins and I mean BE PREPARED!!! I experienced stomach cramps and was running to the loo at all hours of the day and night!! The effects have subsided somewhat but the results have been worth it! Please keep us posted on your progress

Poreoilyme...please make sure you keep us posted on your continued success with clear skin...I have always thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts.

    Keep well

Do you have to follow a special diet or avoid any foods?

    Hi Blue

No diet or food restrictions at all. I am able to continue to eat anything I want. Funny enough...I live in Australia and the weather here is getting very cold (its winter) so I am kind of eating all this nice and fatty winter food-like chocolate, hot chocolate, pasta's etc

I am going to start eating healthier and drinking at least 2 litres of water a day but this is purely just my decision.

    Take Care

Re: my progress with cystic acne following my visit to a naturopath

Hi I can imagine how happy you are at the success you're experiencing. I have a question; my daughter also went to a Naturapath to address her acne problem and was put on a number of cleanses and then supplements. She didn't receive any creams. Could you tell me what you were given so I can pass along the names of the products for her to bring to her next Naturapath appt. She is having a terrible time with her acne breakouts and has scarring. Thanks for your helpI am so EXCITED!!!!!![/QUOTE]
