Favorite Accutane Products (All Accutane users read)

Just thought I would start a thread to see which products people like to use most when dealing with the side-effects of Accutane.

    Lip balm: Blistex Lip Medex
    Facial moisturizer: Glaxal Base
Facial cleanser: J&J Clean & Clear
Eye care: Alcon Tears Naturale II
Shampoo/conditioner: Still can't find a good daily one that minimizes dryness

Lips: Aquaphor (it's the only one that works on me)
Soap & Moisturizer DCL, it works but i really like the blue soap.

If somebody has any suggestions for body lotion I will be appreciated it.

Body lotion: Eucerin body lotion ( also very nice)
Shampoo: any as long as you condition!!! that is key, because it brings back the moisture.

Re: Favorite Accutane Products (All Accutane users read)

Have found that re: lip products, some are just skin protectant, others + pain killers (analgesics)--including Blistex and Carmex--having that reduce the associated pain is much more effective than vaseline for me, I suggest it. Anyone have any other lip products that reduce pain? I find that my lips hurt very badly, and while the blistex makes a big difference, i have to keep reapplying.
also, anyone know if there is a danger in over-moisturizing with accutane (since skin is supposed to be drying out) I am always tempted to use more....
    thanks!!

    Lips: Neutagena lip balm
    moisturizer: Vaseline cream
Body: Vaseline cream &jelly / Nivea severe dry skin

My husband is happy to see my skin oil free finally, but he said my lips look like I am on drugs. Nothing has helped my chapped lips yet I am going to try the aquaphor, it's becoming embarassing, and the more I pick the more they peel. It's like the skin on my lips must replinish every 10 minutes. Its all worth it though.

Re: Favorite Accutane Products (All Accutane users read)

Does anyone know what the difference is between cetaphil moistorizer lotion & cetaphil moisturizer cream? Which one is best to use while on accutane? I'm using the cream one at the moment, and just want to know the difference. Thanks
