Question Going now over 6 months on accutane, will I ever get off accutane?

I have a freakin very resistant case of acne. Since being put on accutane, I first got worse and it wasn't till like 4-5 months later I saw good improvement. My derm is extending my 6 months course now, I'm on month 7 now! First 2 months I was on 40mg and the rest 60mg, and I weigh 160lbs. This month all I saw is 1 real outbreaks on my neck and 1 on my shoulder and a few little pimples on my back and shoulders. On my face all I had is like 2-3 little pimples and a few dozen more outbreaks but those outbreaks were very small and the others out of the dozen were virtually invisible. How much more can I stay on accutane, and can this be done so I can reach those darn 100% clearance I'm like 90-95% better. I'm virtually clear except for some red marks, but shouldn't I see nothing at all except the occassional outbreak?

Generally, accutane is taken for 5-6 months, but if your derm is lengthening the course, then it's what's best for you. As long as you keep getting your blood work done, you're fine.
