Post nerves in our bodies

ok guys this is weird. when i woke up today the right side of my face is perfectly clear (odd) The left side of my face is horribly broken out. Last night before i went to bed. My hmm how can i describe it. The nerve on my leg near my butt, near my upper thigh starts shooting with pain. My mom said said we all have nerves on our legs that lead up to our faces. And i guess if you say hurtself on the right side, the left side gets affected by it. So anyway i have this nerve hurting me on my right leg, and the left side of my face broke out. anyone have a theory, maybe sweetjade does. i have had acne for 11 years, so anyway i am going to go on accutane in 3 weeks. but i am afraid. i am afraid its going to get worse, and stay that way forever.

Strange, I've never heard anyone say about this before and I dont know about the leg to the face theory, BUT since I started breaking out 5 years ago, I kept telling the derm that I had a "pain" on the right side of my chin, which was wear the most of the pimples (oil filled) were forming. Well, he and the dentist and the dental surgeon, and the ear/nose/throat guy and the neurologist all said it couldn't be connected. All I know is, I went on the accutane and the pain went away, I went off the accutane and in one week the pain and the pimples were back . I'm not sure if I have some nerve damage or what, but the breakouts in that area can be painful. The higher the accutane dose, the less the pain and the less breakouts. Derm can't figure it out though and neither can I. If it is a neuralgia , the meds they give you CAUSE acne, so I guess I won't travel down that road either!!

laur, Could the pain you have be oil glands that are inflamed or something? I heard toxins in the skin can inflame the sabaceous glands and cause acne. But that might not be the case. Maybe something is irritated to cause acne though. Something how docs don't even have a clue!!

I would though think it had something to do with the oil glands though, since accutane pretty much stops the oils from releasing from your skin and stuff which would be the reason you had no pain.

Also pain is a sign of a problem, so who knows if that stuff could be related.

Good Luck.
