I just wanted to know do people with scars from acne get teased or get those nasty looks from people as they did when they had acne? Because I have acne and get alot of rude things said to me, but now I am also getting scars and wanted to know if people will say things to me about my scars too. Is it worse than having acne or not??

When you have only scars, people call you crater face instead of pizza face. I'm not too sure which one is worse from my own experience. With acne you can kinda see from a good distance but with scars you have to look up close. It's kind of a let down if you think about it. Some one might think your hot from a distance but when they come closer to you they'll see your craters and probably be turned off immdediately. Also craters are reminders of your acne past, so you're never truely free or normal.

I have acne and scars (red marks) that I try to hide with concealers, but are still visible. Thankfully, I do not get called any names. Well, not to my face, who knows what they call me at my back. It does hurt to live with it though... Acne affects my life so much that I have basically avoided a lot of people in my life. There are a lot of guys who looked at me like I was pretty or something from a distance, but once they come up close, things change based from their facial expression. It sucks. I remain optimistic though. My derma started me on Accutane (2nd round) and will worry about the scars later. My scars are reddish and not indented, so personally, I can live better with my scars compared to having acne. Scars can be hidden or concealed better than acne, esp if they are cystic. Just my opinion.

A good cover up for marks and scars is N.V Perricone Pore refining you can buy it at and it helps reduce the reddness in scars. Let me know if this helps.

I have both acne (milder now thank goodness) and acne scars and don't have anyone saying anything to me unless you count my younger brother...which I don't cause that's just what younger brother's do
Though when I go out I catch alot of people looking at me and I think that's what their looking at, but could just be me being paranoid but who knows and really who cares....They're the rude one's with no manners not me

Often my friends and I play around with each other & call each other names... the one thing I hate is that they always point out my scars.. I get upset and they're like... we're just playing... don't take it so hard!!! I hate that!
Pimpleface no more!!
