Post Band-aids

Does anyone use bandaids on their scars and facial wounds? Would it cause any problems using the adhesive part of them (not the material part) by cutting it up and applying?

I used to do this before accutane.

I used to put zinc oxide on my face when I slept and because it stains sheets I would put the band aids sticky part over it to cover it. It usually works pretty well, kept my sheets from getting stained for sure.

I put them on during the night and it seems to help healing along pretty well.

i use to do that before accutane as well. I would use neosporin and put the bandaid on it so the creme wouldn't rub off at night. They have different size band-aids.

I love band aids. I notice a big difference in the amount of healing with and with out them. If it is unavoidable to open a zit I always make sure it is at night so I can cover it with neosporin or tea tree oil and a band aid. This helps so that I don't get a scab and scarring. If they open during the day it always causes a slight infection and gets worse. Grrrr.

given my background of being allergic to them I would suggest leaving a bandaid on your skin somewhere else overnight so you can see if you have a reaction to the glue...

the glue on bandaids SERIOUSLY destroys my skin... it leaves a weird shiney mark and clogs the pores so I break out...

if you try it somewhere else first at least if it makes you break out you can cover it up untill it heals
