Post What can i expect from a lactic acid peel

    Hi all,

I no longer suffered from acne but i still have some red marks and i would like to make them disappear faster...........I was thinking of a 50% lactid acid peel or else and i was just wondering what could be the results?

Does anyone has ever tried a peel at home and see a real improvement? Please share ur experience with me and tell me the difference you' ve noticed after a peel (smoothness, glow, etc...........)

    thank you

teddy, I haven't done a lactic acid peel, but I have done a 30% glycolic peel, about 11 times since I started in Dec '02. I would say, it has been somewhat effective in smoothing out my skin, and making it look less and less like the surface of the moon. But I must mention that I also use CP serum.

Also, I want to add that effect of the peel is cumulative, i.e, the more peels you do, the better and better it gets.

In my opinion, you should only buy from some trusted source, I got mine from Make Up Artists Choice.

I use the 50% lactic acid peel and I've done 15 since i've got it and my face looked like it went thru hell and back before i got the peel and now its just so much better because most of my red marks are gone or faded to where u cant hardly see them. I use the homepeels brand of lactic acid along with CP serum which i'm sure has also helped a lot. so if u get the lactic peel i would get the copper peptide also.

    Hi brian

Thx for ur answer............i appreciate .

I also would like to ask a couple of questions?
Have you experienced that ur skin was smoother?
Is it easy to rinse off? (cos i' m scared that the lactic peel penetrates or exfoliates too much)
And finally, does the peel make ur skin red or irritates it a lot?

    thx

    teddy

yea it does make ur skin smoother, lacitc acid is the least irritating out of all the peels so you probably wont get any irritation and is easy to rinse off. You'll get directions with it so it'll tell u how to leave it on mine is 5 and a half minutes for the maximum time and there may be some redness for a little while after you do it but nothing bad.
