    Apricot Scrub Exfoliating Cream

Has anybody ever tried the Apricot Scrub Exfoliating Cream by St. Ives. It has little grains in the cream and you are supposed to massage it on your face in the shower and it will remove dead skin cells and impurities.
I just started using it, and i would like some opinions on if it has worked for any of you..

I use it maybe once or twice a week because my skin gets flakey from the glycolic acid/BP and it doesn't come off just by washing.. But I don't use it every day because it would irritate my skin too much

I was using it religously for like 1 week and it helped alot. However, I did not realize it was that. Thought it was my B5. Well, I stopped using it and started using a BP based skin wash and I started breaking out again and my face has gotten red. I started using it again today cause I know it helps!

I tried using it for a week, but it was just too harsh. After I washed my face with it, my face would be red most of the day. I switched to a product by Lancome (an exfoliater in a pink tube) and I've had much much more sucess with that for my sensitive skin. Sorry I couldn't help.

I use the St. Ives Apricot Scrub to soften the appearance of my indented scars. I hope that by rubbing the scars, I'll encourage collagen to regrow.

I use the scrub once daily on scarred areas only (and then apply Vaseline on scars). I apply it to my entire face about twice a week.

I have read that using any kind of scrub with those hard granules in it is actually tearing your skin. Add a bit of baking soda to whatever cleanser you use, it works great, it's cheap and isn't irritating at all!

kat - Yeah I heard the same thing. They said the beads in the apricot scrub have jagged edges and rips your pores apart ( or something like that). I was told to use exfoliaters with rounded beads. I know clarins makes one .. does anyone know any others?
