Egg Yolk Mask

Has anybody ever heard of using the yolk of an egg as a facial mask for acne? I heard of it somewhere and wanted to ask around. I used it the other night and after I washed it off, my skin felt very smooth and my pores seemed to of tightened up. If anybody has any insight on this I would like the info...
thanx
chris

I use this every day and I'm clear (due to other reasons too)

I think the chances of that of happening are slim. Think about it, there are actual people who actually DRINK raw eggs for protein and all that stuff. I even have an uncle who has done it for years, and he has never had that bacteria.

Well, from what I have heard, it's not the sulphur in the eggs but the vitamin A that helps your skin.

I did the egg yolk mask a few times and it made my skin feel smoother, but it also made me nauseaus too. ick

Raw eggs are for the most part only bad
for you if the eggs themselves are bad..

yeah its not the sulphur, its the vitamin A. on the old message board someone had found an article saying its like putting accutane right on your face without the side effects. you're only supposed to do it every day for 30 days and then once or twice a week after that for upkeep. i did it a while ago, like last year. the first 4 days were amazing. my skin looked better than it ever did. then i just stopped gradually...why? i have no clue. but now that you've brought it to my attention once again i think i'll use it today

How long do you keep it on your face for? How long does it take to dry?? Exactly what do you do? You crack one egg open and stir it ..and then just apply it? Someone please clue me in...

just do egg yolk mask 1x a week..it's good for ya skin, and dont do it everday. If u do it everday, u gonna end up with breakout

Re: Egg Yolk Mask

sadkitty, you seperate the yolk from the white. i break it open in a bowl then spoon the yolk out and put the yolk in another bowl, then just take your finger and rub it on your face. leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes then rinse it off. i have to tell you though, its pretty tough to get off. i'm usually able to peel most of it off. you're supposed to do it everyday for 30 days then 1x or 2x's a week for upkeep.

Re: Egg Yolk Mask

I've been using the egg Yolk mask for 4 days in a row, and it's looking better.... no breakouts like you claim... I will basically do this.
7 days of egg masks
7 day breather
7 days egg masks
7 day breather
7 days egg mask
then once a week

...
later
