tea tree oil or tea tree cream??

I was wondering what peoples findings were in relation to tea tree cream and tea tree oil.
Which type have people found most successful for acne/spots?
Ive never used oil, just tea tree cream. (i find that if i massage some onto spots before bed the redness does seem to reduce a bit)
Does the oil make your skin really oily?
    cheers.

    There would be (2) differences:

    1. The oil would be of a higher concentration
of Tea Tree since nothing else would be added.

    2. The oil would most likely penetrate the skin
faster than the cream, unless it had a penetrant
w/ the ability to do deeper (DMSO, Emu Oil, etc)

Applying the TTO topically will not make your face
face oilier. It might look oilier if you do not
rub it in completely, but it doesn't work as a
    oil inducer or pore clogger.

I like the cream myself. I use a cream that has
TTO and a bunch of other acne fighters and I like
the "feel" of the cream better than the oil.

    I hope this helps <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif">

Actually, I went to purchase Tea Tree Oil yesterday and tried to put it on my face...but god, I got this hubbible burning sensation so I had to wash my face ASAP. Also, the smell was so bad that I thought I was ganna faint.

I guess it wasn't for me...

I use a combination of both.

The oil works faster than the cream, so I use this to dry the zit up. Then I apply the cream to finish the healing process. The oil is very concentrated and can be very drying, which is why I only use until the zit has dried up. The cream heals the dried up blemish without drying out the skin.

I use Thursday Plantation oil and Clean Skin cream.

    Hope this helps!
