Re: any sucess with the 'EGG YOLK MASK'??

Hey, xKaShyLahx, I've done the egg yolk mask for the past 3 nights. I do it for 15 minutes then rinse off with water. It seems to be calming my skin, which tends to look red and irritated. My pores seem smaller as well. My skin looks the best in the morning. Now, last night, I experimented with leaving some egg yolk on some specific blemishes (I washed off the mask then dabbed a small amount on the blemishes) and I left it on all night. They didn't go away, but seem a little smaller. So, my skin does seem a little better...don't know yet about the longterm benefits, like if it will decrease my breakouts, etc. Have you tried the mask at all?

Ha, yeah, I know what you mean about walking around with a mask on. I try to do it while my husband is busy and last night I was cleaning up in the kitchen and he was in the living room. He asked me something and I was trying to talk and realized I sounded funny because my skin was tight from the mask. Anyway, if you don't TOTALLY cake it on, it's not that noticeable, just a slight yellow tint so if it's dark no one would really notice.

Well, I still put a generous amount on but if you kind of rub it in, it's not quite so yellow. The first night I did it, I was really yellow. Yikes! But the past two nights, I rubbed it in more and maybe didn't use quite as much and I'm still seeing results...Good idea doing it while in the bathtub! I've gotta come up with some secret spot where I can sit with egg on my face and not risk being noticed...especially by my 4-year-old who would not hesitate to point out my freakish appearance...LOL!

LOL Thats kids for ya!
the best time to do it is when no one is around or when no ones in the house, what ever you do make sure you lock the door. The bath tubs an ideal place to do it...well aleast it is for me, but i have my doubts because sometimes my mom likes to come in the bathroom will im having a bath or shower...hope she dont do it today she might scream!LOL

It really doesn't look that bad on. The green masks are worse than the egg. I have my teenage daughter doing it with me at night, It has almost completely cleared her chin up, just after two nights. My other two children didn't even notice the first night I had it on. I just put it on and walk around the house or just sit and watch T.V. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE WHO TRIES IT.

Well, I am excited about the mask. I read about it yesterday on this board and I decided to try it this morning. I'm usually the last one to leave the house so it was perfect (btw, how weird is it that we're so shy about treating acne - I mean, if it was a wound on the leg, noone would hesitate to put egg on it if it could help - I guess it's all the judgement we get about acne). Anyway, to get back to my story, I tried it today. When I walked in the office, the receptionist's first remark was "hey, your face looks sooo good today!" How incredible was that! Needless to say, I'm hooked.

I've been doing it for about two nights now, and it's working okay. Except for this morning when I woke up, I broke out a little, but that's because I slept really late last night.

You can tell your mom that you bought it at a store. It's really not that gross, if it's a thin layer, like they said, it's just a tinge yellow and wouldn't be something to laugh about.

Also, I do mine after my shower- I bring a bowl with the yolk inside, and then dab it on my face, do yoga stretches for 15 minutes (after I towel up) and wash it off and wash the bowl.

Re: any sucess with the 'EGG YOLK MASK'??

Ha, I assumed you'd figure that it was tight as most masks have that effect. Anyway, that's why I was saying I was talking funny to my hubby...cuz my skin was so tight and I didn't want to crack the mask or anything. I kind of like how it feels. And, man, if it works, it's all worth it. Anyone hear from Erin who originally posted the remedy? I should check the original thread but was wondering how she's doing since she's probably been on it the longest...

Hey RAG!! Tonight is my 6th night and all I really have left are very light red marks and very small pimples. If you read what I put in the original thread I was talking about how your pimples will come to the surface first, and then once those are gone, there shouldn't be any new ones forming I have been doing more research on the yolk and I am still finding very good things about it. I am so excited that I have found something that works
GOOD LUCK RAG!

Erin, were your red marks very dark or were they just a little red? I have darker, more brownish type of marks. Did you have that or very minor red marks?
