Post clearasil vanishing cream - so far so good!!, but...

Ok. I'm an 18 yr old male with moderate acne, mostly on my forehead and on the sides of my head like in my temple area. I've been using clearasil 10% benzoyl peroxide vanishing cream for two days now and already my zits have cleared up a lot. All the small whiteheads are gone and the few larger, redder zits I had have shrunk and become less red. The only problem is that my skin is now very dry and tight and I am guessing that it will start flaking within a couple days. I have heard before that dead skin cells due to very dry skin can cause break outs if you don't exfoliate the skin and get rid of the dead cells. My question is: is there any good mild cleanser/scrub out there that does a good job of getting rid of dry, dead skin cells? I don't want a cleanser with any harsh acne medications in it because that will just dry my skin out more. The benzoyl peroxide is doing the trick as far as the zits, but now I just need a gentle cleanser or scrub that will get rid of the dead skin. I have also heard of brushing the face with a toothbrush to remove dead cells....ANY SUGGESTIONS??? THANKS!

Seems to me your ACNE is not severe if your got rid of it in a couple days with the Clearasil 10% Cream. Yes, a great cream, but for people with low acne. I have used that and it is like drinking water. Keeps my skin oliy and doesn't work. Thanks why people like me must go to a DERM and get anti-biotics and Retin-A and what not. Anyways. As for you - since this Clearasil does the job, go ahead and use it even if it drys up. You dont want repeating acne. U are 18 so I take it you shave evey day or so. So ahead and buy NIVEA EXFOLIATING WASH. It comes in a blue squeeze bottle and is fair priced. Every other day, apply this EXFOLIATE wash before shaving (with hot water). Then shave and AFTER you shave, apply NEUTROGENA SKIN CLEARING AFTER SHAVE. Its the best in the market. Trust me. Old Spice and everything else is just alcohol and scent. This is MADE for acne and gives your face a "COOL" feel for hours. So go ahead and use the Clearasil daily, and purchase NIVEA EXFOLIATE WASH and NEUTROGENA SKIN CLEAR AFTER SHAVE. Doesn't hurt to get a NEutrogena face wash as well for the hot oily skin days.
