is adhd a disability
 
i herd from several different people that adhd is a disability if so is it hard to get? i have a son that has adhd.

ADHD *is* a disability and has been specifically named as such by the US Department of Education. Therefore, if a child has it severe enough to significantly impact his ability to learn, he is entitled to accomodations in the classroom.

Receiving SSI benefits, though, is a different matter. I don't have personal experience with SSI, but I understand it's pretty hard to come by for ADHD.
