Post What does no half life in oxycodone mean?

I notice that hydrocodone has a half life of 3.5 -4.5 hrs. while oxycodone has no half life. http://www.**************/narcotic.cgi
Can someone explain to me what no half life means? I understand that something with a half life means that when you take something, after a certain amount of time the drug will be half the strength then the initial dose.

I'm still waiting on a script for roxycodone 5mg because I can't take tylenol in lortab(10mg hydrocodone/500 tylenol) anymore. Thanks.

That doesn't sound right to me at all. The term "half life" refers to the length of time it takes for your body to eliminate half the medication through your body. So it must be something......just very short, that's all. I could be wrong though, I'm not a doctor.
