Post Best non-addictive pain medicine?

Good morning,

Just curious to find out what you guys thought was the best non-addictive pain medicine? I'm talking about other than asprin, advil and the like.

The reason that I ask this question is that I've heard that there are some really good medicine that's now on the market that somehow operates with the same pain relieving qualities as the addictive opiates, but it's non-addictive. Has anyone else heard this?

Thank you for any responses and I hope everyone is doing well,

I have hear that Toridol works well for pain relief without giving you any sort of a buzz. I had it once and it seemed to work with no high of percs or vics.

Toridol can be given in shot format and is an antiinflamitory. It does work wonders for migraines and stomach pain. Neurontin is a good daily pain medicine to take.

Following my back injury, I tried several different things. What worked best for me was a good muscle therapist. I went through a few to find a good one. She wasn't a little wimpy "massage" person, it was deep tissue therapy and spinal realignment. The first few times actually put me in more pain, but she had warned of this ahead of time, after your body gets used to it, it works wonders, really loosens you up. Very expensive though. Hope this helps

Shonn, Karla & Ryan,

Thanks so much for the replies. If anyone else knows anything else about these non-addictive meds, please feel free to post. I'm reading and studying every one of them.

Thanks again,

Dear Members: Neurotin was originally made for seizures. But as my pain doc said it calms your nervous system and I do think it's a good medication.

Just my opinion, Best Wishes,

When I was in my auto accident, the Dr. at the ER gave me Toradol at it worked pretty well. He would not give me any opiate pain meds because my mother told him I had a "problem".
