    Opiate Dependant

I need some thoughts or advice on using phenobarbital for opioid withdrawal?! I have had numerous surgeries and have been given benzos to help with withdrawal, but this phenobarbital has me concerned. Even the pharmacist was concerned about me going from 16-32mg of Dilaudid a day to phenobarbital!! Any help is appreciated. Thank you. I'm very upset and lost...

I advise seeing an addiction specialist and pain management doctor.

Have you considered subutex, Suboxone, or methadone?
