Re: I need to overcome Nubain Addiction
Awiak, Hello my friend. I know how you feel and i also know that it doesnt happen overnight. This has been building on you for a while and just like it took a while to get here, it will take a while to get back. But.....I am not saying that you cant get there! The number one way to get help is to admit that you have a problem, and this is what you are doing right now. That is the first and the most important step because now you can start chipping away at the solution to getting back to a normal life! Normal is a ways off but you will get there sooner than you think! I know that admitting this issue to others in your life may not be the most popular idea but in all honesty, you wont get through this without them backing you. You need to explain to them what your going through and get them on your side....Support is the most important part of recovery. You can get support through chats like these but your family or a close friend that wants to see you recover as much as you do is a critical thing to have. Next, seek a rehab/recovery center that specializes in your problem area and do everything they ask of you. It will suck at times but the results are far greater than the alternative. I am not sure if you have any spiritual preferences, but for me its Jesus Christ and above all that i just mentioned in the natural, this was most important for me. Without the faith that i have in Jesus as my savior i would have never gotten through my problems. I know not everyone sees this the way that i do but through my commitment with Jesus, i have found many people that now stand in the gap and hold me accountable, and this is what keeps me moving forward. Remember, that if you fall, just fall forward and get right back up! You can do this and I pray that you stay the course! Keep your chin up and just press on!
