    please get help

i am writting this because ive just found out that my best friend died on sunday she was 40 years old and an alchoholic she was a beautiful person but she was addicted she had many problems i knew that if she was to kick the habbit she had to sort out the reason behind her drinking in the first place but the help and support wasnt there for her and she didnt want to demand what i felt was her right. addiction is an illness you deserve help for an illness and if you cant do it yourself then please get someone to demand the help you need it isnt easy and it can only be done one step at a time but please all of you addicted please please get help i feel like ive been stabbed in the heart and you may think that no one cares but i care 40 is no age to die so please get help before your life is cut short. you may think that is the way out but it isnt ive tried killing myself several times as i suffer from severe depression but now i know the pain i feel i couldnt deliberately put anyone through how i feel so please if one of you reads this and gets help it would mean by her death she has helped others i loved her and i needed to say that i hope i havent sounded condesending i know this isnt easy everyone deserves a life please get help and god bless you all

    Alison,
Thank you for your encouraging and deeply felt message. They say that others must die so that some may live and your friend carries the message of how fatal this disease can be. I'm sorry that no one was there to carry the message of recovery to her and it makes me grateful that someone carried the message to me and I must not take it for granted. Your message has helped me face another day of living and trying to stay sober. Thank you and may God Bless You and comfort you in your time of need.
    David
