17,200 Lortabs

Ever wonder how many pills you have taken in your time?, well I did and figured that I took 17,200 Lortab 10.500 in 12 years, amazing how a human body can function taken so much meds, I look back on it now and say to myself, what a waste.
Good news is that tomorrow will be one month since I last took a Lortab or any kind of pill, I feel that I'm on top of the world because of that.
Happy to say that I have no wd's at all,
to those of you who are just starting your quit beleive me when I say it can be done, you know the old say, "if I can do it anybody can", well in my case that couldn't be more true because looking back I would have never thought I would have gave them up and free from meds.
When it gets tough for you, fight harder and you will win the fight, I'm living proof and more of them on this site...

Wow, NoMore4Me!

Another inspiring post! I tell ya, this is turning into a great day for me, because I've heard some pretty amazing and courageous stories today. If I could get my 18 year old son (the recovering drug addict) to post on this site, I bet he would be inspired as well.

Congratulations on your 30 days of sobriety. Even after 12 years, you are proving that it is never too late to take your life back. Some need more time, others need less, but the bottom line is that TODAY, you are doing it! Kudos to you!

Thanks for sharing and if you can, please keep doing so!

Nellie

NoMore4Me!

Wow! You could have opened a pharmacy! (And filled your own prescriptions!!) LOL! :-)

Congratulations on the new "you". I've been following your story, and you've done so well! You sound as if you're walking ON a cloud now, rather than stuck IN one! :-)

(I'm glad I'm such a poor mathematician. Don't think I want to KNOW how many pills I swallowed.......though I do know that there was the perennial problem of what in the world to do with all those large plastic bags of empties I'd stored!! Never could figure out if it was safe to just "throw away" bags stuffed with those all-too-familiar amber Rx bottles!!! Like those incessant buckets of water in the film "Fantasia"--the "tide level" of bags just kept getting higher and higher! I STILL have some empties stuffed waaay back in my closet. LOL!)

I agree with Nellie....please keep posting. Your success story never gets tiring!

Lynn :-)

That is an amazing figure. WOW. Not sure I want to even think about the amount of those "yellow" Norco I ingested. Congrats on staying clean.

Re: 17,200 Lortabs

and for those of us who were foolish enough to buy at the high inflated online prices....how much do you think we spent??

I was paying $259.00 for 90 Lortabs, I don't want to even "do the math".

dumb, dumber, and really dumb me!!

Oh, how wonderful for you.
I would be too afraid to count how many lortabs that I had taken
No withdrawls? GREAT.
But I am sure at first you had some, right??
Me, I went 3 months narcotic free and had a small
relapse, now I am on one methadone a day.
it is a long hard road and I wish you all the best of luck in the world.

Re: 17,200 Lortabs

BlueJulie5,

Yes I did have wd's at first and they were awful, I couldn't sleep, couldn't eat, I would sweat sitting under an a\c vent but it was sure worth it, doing fine these days...
I hope for all to come off of their choice drug because ones life is so much better without the drugs.
