Liver Tests Abnormally High and I take a cocktail of prescription antidepressants

Hi! I have ADHD and suffered for the past 6 years. For the past three years I am taking Effexor XR, Paxil and Lamictal daily in low dose to mid dose level combinations. I had blood work done so I could start on Accutane for my acne. The blood work came back with me showing high enzyme levels in my liver. I have to go and get more blood work done tomorrow. I have been really tired and nauseated too. In the mean time, i have been on the internet and have found that all my three meds are linked to side effects with my liver. Also, all three have major withdrawals. And to top it off, I am suppose to have knee surgery in a couple of weeks. Will my high enzyme level in my liver effect me being able to have surgery? Also, I am now very concerned about the meds i am taking. How can I get off all these meds and replace them with others that aren't as bad on my liver? I understand it has to be under doctor's supervison, but is it possible to go off all three slowly? Would I need to go to detox place ot make it easier? If so, how long should I plan.

hi, it is usually not necessay to go to detox for anti-depressants, you will need to taper off the effexor and paxil--why does your dr. have you on both? you should be able to taper off in 2-3 weeks, make sure you don't take any tylenol! our livers have a way of bouncing back to normal as soon as we stop the drugs that are affecting them. i really don't know if this would effect your upcoming surgery or not--that's a question for your dr.
