Am I still addicted to Df118

    Hi
I had a car accident 3 years ago and was given large doses of Oxycodone and Oxycontin. Had a nightmare getting off those, then methadone but I have had multiple parts of my bowel removed so I my bowel reacted badly to the opiate withdrawl and I ended up on a drip. I also need opiates for my back as I fractured my spine in the crash. So I am on 2x60mg in the morning and have got down to just 1x60mg at night. They are slow release but I do crush the ones in the morning..initially for a "buzz" that didn't happen) but it seems to settle my bowel for the day.
I take the a.m. ones around 8am and have nothing til 9pm. Have felt no withdrawl symptoms at all. I know I am psychologically addicted but the huge gap between pills makes me wonder if I am physiologically addicted

You may not get a lot of response on this because this is not a drug used in the U.S., I presume you are in the U.K.? This is a short acting med with about a 4 hr half life. The fact that you can get by for 12 hours or so in between doses doesn't mean you do not have a physical dependence. If your pain is controlable without narcotic or opiod meds then you could try tapering off the med and see how you react. Have you talked to your prescribing doc about this?
