    Re: 33 hours

Thanks to everyone for the support !!!!

Today is day 8 -- a little depressed this am, feeling some pain as well, BUT no chance I will pick up the tramadol.

Can I ask you folks something ? Assume I am done with tramadol (multi year history, most recently at 300 mg per day of extended release). I am still at 35 mg per day of hydro (6 years or more, most recently at 40 mg per day BUT would often take 20 at once to feel good).

Do you think I am half way done?

    Re: 33 hours

    Ken,

You could make a good argument for that. You did exceedingly well getting off the Tramadol, for most of us it took months, a hellish, nightmarish, painful set of months. I've never seen anyone come off it as fast and as unscathed as you.

Which could mean that you may not have much trouble kicking that last 35mgs of Hydro. At this point if you still have Tramadol in your possession you need to throw it out, flush it down the toilet. Don't keep temptation within arms reach....get rid of it.

If the next few days continue to go as well for you, I would plan to start your Hydro taper on Monday and start getting rid of that one, before you know it, you'll be off drugs!

    Re: 33 hours

Been tapering the last few days. Now I am at 30 mg hydro per day.

All of those brain zaps for quitting the tramadol seem to have gone away. Still feeling little motivation but moving forward.

    Re: 33 hours

    Ken,

Doing good! Don't ya just love those brain zaps....god I thought I'd go in sane from those. Your making good steady progress, keep it up.

Don't let the low motivation take over, try to keep some activity going. I know after working all day and dealing with the withdrawals you probably just want to veg on the couch, but if you keep yourself a little busy things go a little easier. The more you give in to the lack of energy/motivation the worse it gets.

    Hang in there bud.
