off oxy

Is anyone out there trying to quit the oxy habbit? This is my 5th time going thru the suboxone method. It is day 5 for me, and while I am fatigued, I feel pretty good. Just trying to reach out to other oxy addicts and get/give some moral support. I was prescribed oxy 30's 8 a day and oxycontin 80mg 3 times a day. I'm still in pain, but I want to deal with it in a diff way.

Re: off oxy

Hello teridactyl and welcome

Over the span of 7 years,I have been prescribed a plethora of different pain meds and doses.
The psychological aspect, not to mention the physical pain itself, was my downfall and yet my salvation at the same time.I was way too angry and running from myself;long story short,I am gaining control of my life in leaps and bounds,so to speak.

I hope and pray for your success.
A little pain(I have learned)can be a tolerable experience.
Good for you;wanting to do things different;change is good(positive change, that is).

NA(Narcotic's Anonymous) can also become a source of inspiration.Just something to consider.

With Respectful Intent
When in doubt, post it out.
