Hi, firstly, not everyone is addicted to drugs, that's a misnomer. Just because people may have to take a medication for a disease or illness, doesn't mean that nowadays most everyone is a drug addict.

Secondly, there is no easy shortcut to Detoxing from dug addiction. It takes a lot of commitment and hard work. Depending on the drug addicted to, whether it be a prescription drug and you have a Dr. to help you with a tapering plan or an illegal substance and you need a rehab facility....they both require a commitment to yourself to quit the substance and improve your life and the hard work it takes to do so.

Seeing a therapist while detoxing helps many because addiction to any substance has a psychological aspect that has to be dealt with, it's not just the physical. A therapist can teach you coping skills and healthy behaviors to replace the unhealthy ones that you've learned. There are many different modalities of therapy that can help you deal with Withdrawal symptoms and Detoxing.

I hope that you are able to get off the substance that your addicted to and get your life back and I hope that your able to do it as painlessly as possible.

Good luck and take care,
