Advice - Should I go to the Doctor?

Hello! I'm 19 years old. I know it's unlikely but I'm asking for your opinion as to if I should get checked for Addison's Disease at the doctors. I've been to the doctors over and over again for problems I feel like I have (Or the same problem that never gets better), but there never seems to be anything wrong and I hate wasting their time.

I've just felt like there has been something wrong with me for a while, and Addison's seems like a possibility.

- I'm always incredibly pale and have very dark under eye circles and eyelids.
- Usually very tired.
- Easily cold.
- Never have an appetite.
- Had issues with low blood sugar in the past (Haven't checked it recently though).
- Had shingles when I was 16.
- Had a BUN test a year or two back that initially came up with abnormal (Slightly higher than expected) results. Had a retest and the second time it was apparently normal though.
- Had anemia test that came back negative.
- Had celiac disease test that came back negative.
- Blood pressure is usually normal though, on average around 110/60.

Re: Advice - Should I go to the Doctor?

Hey there,

How are you going? It doesn't really sound like AD/AI to me, more like a chronic fatigue or something along those lines. Though that said, we are all different so perhaps it wouldn't hurt to ask your treating doctor what they think? Having your cortisol levels checked (best at 8am), and also ACTH levels will let you know either way if there's an adrenal issue.

All the best!
