    Question Experiences on Isocort

Hi! I'm starting Isocort in the a.m. I was wondering if anyone wanted to share their experiences with it?

How much do you take and what times of the day?
How long have you been taking it?
    Has it helped you?

    Thanks!

    Christy

    ChrisT:

I've been taking it. Four pills in the am then 2 at lunch and 2 at dinner. It doesn't seem to be helping me at all. In fact...I feel no difference. My doc (Natural) says its okay for people with VERY mild support needs. For someone who is likely VERY comprimised like me...I'd need more aggressive intervention.

Thanks, softcrush. I'll be curious to see what your levels are when you get them back.

I started the cortisol last night because I was feeling so crummy. It took me a LONNNG time to fall asleep but boy, did I wake up feeling great today. I was so chatty and perky this morning, my dh was like, "Now what was it you started taking?"

I took one tablet with breakfast and one with lunch, and my hypoglycemia has been great. I have really felt pretty terrific today. No depression and the brain fog is noticeably improved.

I'm, of course, skeptical. There have been things that I've tried before where I felt good for a day or two (or a week or two), and then BOOM, big major crash. But here's to hoping this works for me! Wouldn't that be wonderful?

    Re: Experiences on Isocort

    Hi ChristyE
I took isocort for awhile and it did not help me. I think I was taking 7 or 8 a day.

I also wanted to add that I was taking a compounded t3/t4(like armour) and that made me hyper. Then I changed docs and she put me on a low dose of cytomel(t3) and more levothjyroxine and I seem to be handling that a lot better. I think I will need an increase but I seem to be tolerating this t3 better than the previous mix.

I really hope the isocort helps!

    Hi Christie:

I tried Isocort, but got urgent diarrhea after 10 days. I don't know why it happened, but I stopped it immediately. LOL, I was stuck in a drive-thru when the first "attack" hit! The guy in front of me was totally confused when I had to ask him to pull up ahead so I could get out.

I hope it works for you!
