    Exclamation 24 hour urine test

Hi, my doctor has ordered the 24 urine test, so I am in the process, but the problem is: the container (3 litres) is not enough. What should I do? Use some other clean, plastic container? Or stop drinking?

Wow... thats some serious urinating you're doing there!! I remember when they gave me my container I thought that it wouldnt be big enough but I barely filled half of it!

Are you able to phone them to get another container?

You should only be drinking your normal amount - nothing excessive (but I guess you know that already)

Unfortunately I don't have their number, tried to look it up, but didn't have any luck.
I would actually say that I am drinking less than I would normally. I am pretty thirsty all the time. I should go to bed earlier so that it all fits...

Is this for a cortisol test? I've been wondering if the urine test is any cheaper than a blood test? Do you know how much it would cost (no insurance)...?
    Thanks,

Yes, it was a cortisol test. However I cannot tell you which one would be cheaper, cause I live in Canada, and we don't pay for these. Maybe someone else can.

I would call your doctors office, they can give you a second container. I just saw the above posts that you don't have their number. I do not think any container works. There is this solution that you have to put in the container to make them read it some how.
Sorry I am not of more help.
