Cortisol/DHEA-S ratio- 8:.... what does that mean?!

So today I got some saliva adrenal test results back and it has all my cortisol levels "within range" (albeit on the LOWER END of that range) and it says my cortisol to DHEA ratio is 8 (norm is 5-6).

    Anybody know what this means?

The bottom line is that we really don't know how valid these saliva tests are, or the companies that are providing them. Serum tests are the gold standard. If possible you should try to see a dr. who will draw your AM acth level , AM cortisol level and DHEA-S. If those numbers are off it will prove if you truly have a problem.
