adrenal gland

yesterday morning I was taken to the hospital for gallbladder pain. they ran a CT scan and found a mass on my adrenal glad. I'M scared to death right now. Does this mean I have cancer? I'm not employed right now and no insurance so my options are limited, what kind of doctor do I need to go to and what can I expect?

Greetings! I want to welcome you to the General Healthboards and hope the needed support is found here. I am sorry this has happened to you. Sometimes a mass can be with or without cancer. A low cost test to find out is the Anti-malignan antibody serum test. A general practitioner or oncologist known to be well liked and cooperates with patient requests might do that test. The test can be found at large hospitals. Some hospitals offer insurance in some states to help those who can't pay and maybe they can be asked first. Peace, sjb :)
