    Question ACTH Stim test

How accurate are they when detecting secondary adrenal insufficiency?? I have all the symptoms, my baseline is between 4 and 8 but both stim tests came back "good". I was on hydrocortisone for a few days and felt much better. But because the 2 tests came back ok, the doc won't prescribe it to me. My ACTH serum test came back at 33. I have found some research that suggests I need more testing but she won't.

I am also hypothyroid and have hashimoto and a PIT tumor.

if you have a pit tumor then your lower ACTH makes sense to me.....hard to believe your doc is ignoring this....please go see another endocrinologist!!!
