Hello all, I hope you are well
I am a 21 year old woman with a long list of symptoms. I've been dealing with these for about 3-4 years now, they've grown increasingly worse. I've seen a few doctors but to no avail, my new doctor is very helpful and has tested for lots of things. He ruled out thyroid issues, diabetes (which is what he thought it may be) anaemia and other obvious things.
My symptoms are:
Nausea/vomiting
Bloating
Fatigue
Fainting
Dizziness
Weakness (point of being unable to hold a pen and write properly)
Extreme thirst
Shortness breath
Very cold
Numbness & tingling in hands & feet
Fingers & feet go blue from cold
Dizzy upon standing
Difficult walking up stairs due to dizziness/fatigue
Confusion (forgetting where I am/what I am doing/who I am with. Stopping mid sentence, saying nonsense words without realising, staring into space)
Slurred words
Blurred vision
Muscle tightness and cramps
Night sweats
My test came back with problems with my testosterone. The doctor mentioned that whatever gets my testosterone around my body isn't working.
He thought Addison's possible, due to these symptoms and low blood sugars without being diabetic. But he said my sodium and potassium are ok ("one just below normal and other ok" were his words).
He is referring me to an endocrinologist as he doesn't know what is going on.
My understanding is that Addison's can't be ruled out from potassium and sodium, as they would only be very low in someone who is very seriously ill. I don't think I am...
Does anyone have any insight into this or can anyone share similar experiences/give advice? I am feeling so tired and ill, I sleep a lot but there are big black circles under my eyes! I am also growing concerned about my mental abilities, it is greatly affecting my life!
Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks everyone
