Exclamation City Air

So I have spent the summer working at camp in Northern Wisconsin far from any big city and such. And I have pretty severe allergies that I have been taking Allegra D for. But since I came back down to the cities(Twin Cities) I had a major allergy attack. My eyes have just swelled and are horrible itchy. My sinuses just ache and I feel miserable and can barely breath. Is it just that my allergies are finally catching up and overloading my systom or could in be the air in the cities and near by refinories? (sorry my spelling is terrible)Does anyone have any advice? I fell like I am running out of options.

When you rinse pollens from your nose potentially, you're allergic reactions could stop almost immediately. Painless & soothing I irrigate everynight & morning. I look forward to it. I no longer take any medication. Imagine that. I use to take allegra & tylenol sinus.
To irrigate the nose, I use a 60CC plastic syringe that was purchased for nasal irrigating. I mix 2 cups of filtered warm water with 1/2 teaspoon of noniodized sea salt & 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda (fresh & my allergist recommended it).
I laugh everday because I feel fantastic. It is hard to believe that more allergists do not recommend this procedure. This has changed my lfe & I cannot imagine not ever having known about it or at least tried it. For that I am thankful. Good luck. Allergy free and living life again...

Question the person that irrigates with the salt and baking soda... 2 cups of water is an awful lot of water.. you don't put that all up your nose do you??? Why do you have to mix so much if you are only putting 60 cc's up to irrigate and is that what you do?? Just 60 cc's.. I am alittle confused and just tried this but I want to make sure I am doing this right.
Thanks so much for your help!!
