    Vocal cords and allergies???

Has anyone experienced vocal cord problems(hoarseness, sore throat, partial laryngitis) with their allergies??? Mine started in Oct then the vocal cords started to get bad...I do have very small polyps but was wondering if all this could be a result of allergies....Anyone?? Thankyou

Yesterday after sweeping my deck(covered with yellow pollen) I got a little hacking cough. later in the day I started getting hoarse. This AM I woke up and could barely speak. I'm pretty sure this is the result of allergies to pollen, even though its never happened to me before. It feel like there is something in my throat that I can't get rid of gross! My throat is also really sore.

Yes, I sing, and post nasal drip can wreak havoc on your vocal cords. Getting proper allergy treament will help a lot.

If I let my allergies get out of hand, if I don't take my allergy medicine before I cut the lawn or do gardening, or don't wash my sinuses after outdoor activities, I get hoarse and have lost my voice totally.
