Cool the smell of books and magazines

About a month ago, when I was reading a library book, the strong smell of the book made my throat close up, and I eventually had to use my epi-pen and go to the hospital. I remember reading somewhere that sometimes the pages of books and magazines can be made with peanut oil in them. Is this true, and has anyone else ever had the same experience that I did.

It's very frustrating. Now when I go the library, I just look at the covers of the books and magazines, but I don't dare open any of them up for fear of having another bad reaction! I just spend most of my time on the computer instead.

It's very hard to live with being allergic to so many darn things!!

Old books can have a lot of mold in them.
