    Question on poison ivy

I believe that i have poison ivy. Started out looking like mosquito bites but then they got red, and looked rashy. What i thought was the center bite, looks like a tiny blister. It is healing whatever it is but the spots (nickel size) are a dark rose color... Is this normal? how long will it take to clear?

Strange... camped all my life and now I get poison ivy. It is on the top of my foot... makes it difficult with shoes.. been wearing flip flops

    Thanks

    Re: Question on poison ivy

Just a thought -- could it be that they are bites and that your shoes are irritating them?

Unless you walked through poison ivy with bare feet, I would doubt that it would be that.

    Re: Question on poison ivy

i had sandals on and the friend was showing us the "woods and field" behind her house. There was a path...but... It was muggy out too... so i imagine my pores were ready and waiting for the poison.

    Re: Question on poison ivy

It does sound like poison ivy to me, but usually poison ivy itches like the dickens. I've had it twice now and it took me several weeks to recover each time. If yours is recovering on its own without giving you the bad itchies, that's a good thing. You really don't need to do anything to help it get better other than keep the area clean and use a topical anti-itch cream if you feel the need.

    Re: Question on poison ivy

i think it is finally clearing up. It itched like mad when i was at home (warmer). At work not so much. I use the bandaid anti-itch gel (formerly Rhuligel)

at least the color is fading. It looked like i had bad bruises
