Feel bad everyday

This cough is driving me nuts! As soon as I talk I start coughing, sometimes it even happens when I just swallow. It feels like there is something small in my throat just lightly scratching it. But the cough is huge, sometimes it comes all the way from my diaphragm and it is a barking cough, like a seal.

I like to stay away from cough and cold medicines because I have high blood pressure and most of them give me heart palpitations. Do you think this is allergy related? I've never really been diagnosed with allergies, but I do have very bad sinuses, and this year a very itchy nose (sometimes it keeps me up at night) and a lot of sneezing, plus the cough.

Any's very aggravating!

Re: Feel bad everyday

You could try an antihistamine and see that helps, they are available over the counter. It's supposed to be a bad allergy season this year, even people who don't normally suffer are having problems. If the antihistamine helps, that's your answer!

Ohai there!

Well, it sounds like it could possibly be allergies. Considering your situation, I'd agree with the previous respondent. Over the counter meds are going to be your best bet here.
I had bad pollen allergies till I got allergy shots for it. Before that, I used Claritin and that helped me to a certain degree. So I could recommend that one as well. Try a few (not at once) and you should hopefully find one that works for you. Be aware of the side effects of those meds too.

Hope you find relief soon!
