Steroid Nasal Inhaler
Does anyone know if there are any on the market? Not a spray but an inhaler like Rhinocort used to be?

I absolutely HATE the sprays and they really don't seem to help me as much as the inhaler did but am thinking I may give up and use one. I'm just getting clogged a lot and know that when winter comes and the heat comes on I really will have a hard time.

Thanks, all!

Re: Steroid Nasal Inhaler
I'm thinking that you mean a propellant-type nasal inhaler rather than the aqueous types that are now available? I agree with you 100% that the propellant type of nasal inhaler works better. I remember when nasalcort used to be the better propellant type of nasal spray, and it worked wonderfully well for me; when it was changed to the aqeous type I was at my allergist's office feeling crummy with nasal issues. I think he told me that it was due to the propellants being damaging to the ozone layer or something, so they were all changed over to the aqueous, and in my opinion, less effective inhalers. I was even considering traveling out of the country to be able to purchase some of the "old" type of nasalcort inhalers! If anyone has any info about how to get one of these types of nasal inhalers, I would love to hear it too!

That's exactly what I mean! I was on Rhinocort. Loved it. If oral inhalers for asthma are OK, why not nasal ones????????? Are they really going to mess up the ozone that much? And they work instantly whereas the sprays do not.

I too LOVED my old nasal inhaler. It worked so well. It took me a long time after the switch to find something that worked for me. I just don't see them coming back anytime soon though.

Ok, so I "googled" around a little, and it looks like "Nasalcort HFA" has been approved by the FDA. I can't tell if it's available yet for a doctor to prescribe. I am going to call my allergist on Monday and definitely find out!
