Face rash - confused

Hello. I'm 22 and have an interesting skin issue ATM that's been plaguing me for more than a month now everyday I wake up with a pinkish (sometimes somewhat blotchy) rash across my cheeks and nose. It's not painful but gets worse thought the day and seems to be most noticeable in evenings and afternoons. When the redness is more intense I can actually "feel" the hotness. Almost like a sunburn but a slightly different sensation. It almost feels "puffy" and is sore to the touch (not super sore but more like when you rub a towel on a sunburned face)

My mother has a form of lupus though she doesn't get the redness herself, and wants me to get checked out. I'm not ruling that out but in the meantime I'm just trying to consider other less frightening alternatives like a reaction or something. It doesn't look to much like a butterfly rash IMO (unless I'm just in denial about it) and reached down to my nose and nostrils too.

It is most intensified on my cheekbone right below the outside of my eyes. And is more intense and spread more on one side than te other. Even right now it's like a tight hot puffy pressure right on the mos prominent part of my cheekbones. It's also caused some sort of bump and discolerisation right underneath my right eye. It's lasted so long now and is worse some days than others that I'm just confused.

Any ideas?

Re: Face rash - confused

Could be any number of things from a food allergy to rosacea. I'd see a dermatologist.
