    Radiation and X-Rays

I have heard some real horror stories on X-Rays and radiation...does anyone have any knowledge (not opinion) on any dangers of having an X-Ray? I know sometimes it can outweigh the problems of not having one, but how much damage do X-rays really do?

Unless you are having an Xray every day, very little radiation is transmitted....also, they are very careful, the issues with Xrays are infertility and radiologists take every precaution to make sure you are not exposed.

Even when you go to the dentist, you are covered with a lead blanket to protect you.

You would honestly need a mimimum of 1 Xray a day or 4 Xrays a week to be concerned.

I have started wondering about this myself. I went to the dentist recently and they tried doing an Xray where it focuses on one tooth, but the appliance they put in my mouth kept slipping, and they tried about 3 times, taking an Xray that didn't work. So then they tried a panoramic Xray which had a part of the machine that orbited around my head and hit my shoulder which pushed me out of position and messed up the picture, so then they did it a second time without making any adjustment and the machine hit my shoulder again. That's quite a bit of Xraying in one day.
