should I ask my doctor?

I want to start taking Nature's Secret Super Cleanse and 365 Probiotic Complex w/ Acidphilus dbl strength from WHOLE FOODS.

I take a Thyroid Med called Levothroid for underactive thyroid and a Flonase type nose spray along with inhalers, but inhalers only when needed which is not much.

I want to make sure it's okay to mix since the Super Cleanse says to notify your doctor if you take medications.

Should I ask my doctor?

Thank you,

Re: should I ask my doctor?

Yes ask your doctor, but there is also a book you can usually buy, my "store" actually has one for anyone to use and it cross references traditional medicines with herbal remedies and stuff. I'm sorry that I can't remember the name of it.

Yes, ask your doctor, but do not expect they will be able to give you any sensible answers as they are not trained to understand how these natural stuff work. And they won't spend time to research. It will be better for you to talk to an ND and do some research on your own.

Re: should I ask my doctor?

The usual suggestion for thyroid meds is to put a few hours between them and other supplements; however, if you take the thyroid sublingual it bypasses the gut and goes right into the blood, so you don't have to wait. I do this with my thyroid meds - Armour and Cytomel.

Hi Julie,

No need to ask your doctor - just pop into your local pharmacy and ask your pharmacist.
