    Worried my husband has dementia

    Really need some imput.
My husband is having what I think are dementia symptoms.
Doctor keeps saying stress and anxiety, he's had various tests and the diagnosis was fasciculation cramp syndrome.
But living with him I've noticed other subtle signs, ie forgetting where he's put thing and stumbling with his words.

He's had a full brain MRI and was told his brain looks fine.

I darent bring up the topic of dementia at the moment, too scared I suppose, but the fact his brain looks fine, would that mean he hasn't got dementia?

    Thank you for reading.

Hi...has he had a full blood work up and especially of B vitamins and D? Urine for possible bladder infection.

Good his brain scan is unremarkable...is he on any meds? Is his diet restricted in any way?

I have anxiety and depression...as well as pain. On the days that I'm feeling off, Im definitely forgetting things...which make the anxiety worse. I can imagine your husband's condition would be mentally exhausting.

Of course...Covid situation has screwed up perception of functioning in general.

Yes he's had full blood works all were ok, he's taking vitamin B and Magnesium.
He's on blood pressure tablets and been put on gabapentin for his cramp pain.
He's just had a full spine MRI, waiting on the results of that, and he's supposed to be having an EEG but no appointment as yet.
    Thank you for your reply.

Any results on his spine MRI as of yet? How is he doing on the gabapentin?

What he needs is an MMSE (mini mental status exam). It's a series of questions to answer. Talk with his PCP about administering it on the next visit.
