Passing on...

Hi All,

I haven't posted in many months, but for the board members that might remember me, I wanted to let you know that my mom passed away on 12/29/13.

She was a fighter, a sassy little Southern Belle, but when she was good and ready she went very peacefully. That was her final gift to me.

I'm mainly writing to thank all of you--and particularly Deb--for your wonderful help these many years. You have no idea how much you did for me when I was struggling to understand and accept Mom's vascular dementia. You helped me understand how her brain was--and wasn't--working and helped me find ways to keep her as happy and contented as possible.

In short, you helped me to be the best daughter I could be during this long and difficult journey, and I will be grateful for that for the rest of my life. You are truly doing angels' work here on earth.

With love and gratitude,
KrenM
