Alzheimer's REM and DEEP SLEEP

My father is 73 and was diagnosed with Alzheimers about 2 years ago. Looking back, the really early signs were him acting out his dreams and yelling in his sleep. After a traumatic event a year ago, he had a rapid decline. There were no resources. We took my dad to a two numerologists who said that he would not get better and one said to "just let him die doing what he loves". However, when it comes to my parents I am relentless. I stayed with my parents for 7 days. I noticed that the slightest noise, even my dog's snoring would wake him up. I quickly bought a Smartwatch called Basis that analyzes all aspects of his health but gives detailed sleep analysis. I found out he wasn't getting any REM or DEEP sleep only light. I took this data to the new Dr and he was given medication to help him rest. He is SO much better and we are extremely happy. I'm glad technology has finally gotten to the point where we can analyze our own health. I just don't understand why this information wasn't readily available online or that the Dr's were so uninformed.

Try giving your dad organic coconut oil to calm his moods.
