Smile Need Help with TOE AMPUTATION accesories

I hope someone can help me as i am really stuggling to find the sites i am looking for on the internet. I have a good friend who has just had his big toe amputated due to diabetes and heart issues. The awful hospital he is stuck in at the moment are no help at all with the info we need - infact they arnt even any help with looking after him properly as he has not been given a bed cage so the covers dont rub, he hasnt had his wound cleaned or looked at foe days and days, there has been blood around his bed for days that no-one has cleaned up, so basically the hospital is absolutely useless and disgraceful!! But i digress!!
We need info about where to get all the accesories he will now need to help him with daily life - for example - socks and shoes that wont rub him and will have the relevant space in them, also foot rests to elevate and rest his foot when not walking, walking stick etc...
We also need a list of all items we are likely to need to make his life as easy as possible as the hospital say they dont even provide that sort of information!! Its just a list of accesories we need and where to get them - crazy hospital!! But i digress again - lol!
I would very much appreciate anybody pointing me in the direction of a good site and telling me what exactly we are going to need. We are in the UK by the way so the site/business ideally needs to be here also.

Re: Need Help with TOE AMPUTATION accesories

You're a great person for doing all that!
I'm in the US and have no experience with that sort of thing so I can't be much help. I hope your friend knows how lucky he is to be taken care of by you!
