New Here - My Story-Reacted Iron by OrthoMolecular

    Hello All-

I am 44 years old. A few years ago I was told I had mild anemia from heavy periods that started up after the birth of my second child. I was prescribed iron and it made me so sick that I did not bother with it. Fast forward to this past March. I got the flu (even though I had the shot in the fall which by the way made me sick then) and was not able to recover well. My lips turned blue, I could not get out of bed, utter exhaustion. My internist ran labs and my levels were worse. Ferritin 6 Iron 18 and all the other RBC MCV HCt were off. He said if I did not stop my periods this would really not end well. On April 4th I had a D&C and Uterine Ablation. I am now taking Reacted Iron by OrthoMolecular. Metanix, Vitamin D and Vitamin C. I feel better but I know I am not 100%. This iron I can tolerate but I am only taking one pill a day trying to get to two. Anyone else take this? Blood will be checked again Jukly 1st.

Glad I found a support board!!
