    Question Venofer IV Infusion "push"?

My doctor has scheduled me for 5 rounds of (200 mg) IV Venofer to be given over five weeks. When the infusion center called me to schedule, they told me that each infusion would take 10 minutes. I said that seemed fast (based on what I've read online, which I realize is not to be considered medical advice). The scheduler replied that they give the 200 mg doses as a 10-minute IV push/injection. But the 300 mg doses require an hour and a half infusion drip. This is an infusion center at a major hospital so I'd like to think they know what they're doing.

I am already terrified of this procedure, but I really have no choice. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the 200 mg Venofer infused that quickly and if it's the norm, or if I need to find somewhere else to go and have this done?

Hugs to all. This anemia thing is no fun.
